Map of phases of the pipe replacement project
December 5: Updates about pipe replacement plans for December 5
I just talked with superintendent Kenny and crew boss Edgar together. They told me they lack about 15 or so feet to finish laying pipe on Stoneyford to the corner with Tuscany Road. They expect to finish this last section early tomorrow morning.
I was assured by both men that drop off traffic to Calvert School will not be impeded while they finish up the last bit of pipe line work on Stoneyford up to Tuscany, although some heavy equipment may maneuver on Tuscany occasionally for a very short periods.
Good news! Parking on Stoneyford tomorrow will be OK from the corner of Stony Run Lane to the drive way down to the garages next to the Lombardy Apt Complex, but not beyond.
After completing the last 15 foot section on Stoneyford in the morning, the crew will pivot and start work on Stony Run Lane toward the Gardens of Guilford.
The first task will to excavate four sample holes spaced all the way up Stony Run Lane until the Gardens of Guilford loop. Then the crew will begin cutting the pavement following the blue lines up the street the rest of the day.
The crew bosses wanted me to be sure to thank all the residents in the work area for complying with the no parking signs.
They commented how quickly they have been able to get their work done compared to other neighborhoods they have worked in because of everyone’s compliance!
I want to add my word of thanks on behalf of the TCNA also.
I’ll check in with tomorrow afternoon with you all about this time with next week’s work update.
Please pass this update to anyone I may have inadvertently not included.
Regards
Jack
