Trash and Recycling General Information

General Trash Pick-up: Every Tuesday starting at 7am
Recycling Pick-up: Every other Thursday starting at 7am

If your trash is not picked up by the end of the day, call 311.   (Sometimes there will be a make-up time on Saturday)
Holidays: make up day is the following Saturday.

Drop-off Locations

Northwest Sanitation Yard, 2840 Sisson Street.  Accepts a pretty broad range of materials and is conveniently located between 28th street and 29th street.

Quarantine Road Sanitary Land Fill, 6100 Quarantine Road (on thevery south end of town). This site is WAY inconvenient but is the place that will take anything.  (And, the only place that will takebuilding debris, wallboard, cinder blocks, etc.)

Hazardous Materials  Drop off household hazardous material at Sisson St on designated dates, from 9:00 to 5:00 usually on the first Friday and Saturday of each month  from April to October. Check See TCNA Calendar for dates. Hazardous materials include oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, car and household batteries, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, and more.

NOTE: Latex paint is NOT hazardous waste, it can be dried up and the cans put out for regular garbage pick-up.
