Repaving Updates for July 13

The crew will continue excavating and pouring cement on Linkwood where they left off just South and before the intersection of Linkwood and Stoneyford next Monday the 13th.  Transiting to and from and within the neighborhood on July 13 will be challenging, but doable for residents, visitors and service vehicles.

Monday, July 13:

Linkwood Road Closed. From the Ridgemede Alley to University Parkway

Due to Repaving Linkwood Road

Please note carefully the following:

(1) Vehicles will be able to enter/exit both entrances of Hopkins House any time during the day. However, drivers must turn left and go South and up Linkwood to University Parkway. They will not be able to exit and turn right on Linkwood going North toward Cold Springs.
(2) The crew will continue excavating and pouring concrete starting on Monday at the corner of Stoneyford and Linkwood for about 200+ feet North on Linkwood next to the Tuscany Apartment Complex. This corner and beyond will be closed to all traffic going one way West on Stoneyford toward Linkwood; South of Ridgemede on Linkwood; and North on Linkwood from Stoneyford toward Ridgemede.
(3) For residents of the Tuscany Lombardy Cooperative Corporation, the Gardens of Guilford, any one driving North on Stony Run Lane from 39th to Stoneyford, and those attempting to go West on Stoneyford from Stony Run Lane toward Linkwood on Monday, all vehicles must go East on Stoneyford Road toward Tuscany Road against the one way sign to exit the neighborhood. As stated above, the corner of Stoneyford and Linkwood will be closed.
Barrels and a street closure sign will be posted on Stoneyford at the corner with Tuscany so that outside traffic off of Tuscany looking for a short cut will not head West on Stoneyford toward Stony Run Lane or Linkwood.
Of course local residents/visitors to the above apartment complexes and service vehicles will still be able transit Stoneyford from Tuscany going West to access the above apartment complexes any time during the day, but must do so very very carefully to avoid any head on collusions. Be sure to check to see that Stoneyford is clear both directions.
If you are are a resident in any of the above apartment complexes and must leave for work on Monday, I would advise that you leave before 8:00 AM or park on Tuscany Road on Sunday night to avoid the street closure challenges leaving the neighborhood.
