January 8 Update: Linkwood Road- “Tie-In” to the new water pipes still needs to be done in the future.

The crew will finished laying the last pipe as planned on Linkwood Road.   But there is what is known as a “tie in” connecting the new water pipeline with the old line running East on Ridgemede. It also involves charging and testing the new water pipe line’s water quality.

The crew can’t get everything done today. So the crew is going to come back at an indeterminate date to finish that connection process.

To do the “tie in” and also the water quality testing, there will be period of time when your water will be cut off. No date has been determined as to when that will be happening. Also not known yet is the extent of area where people will experience the water cut off.

The good news is that 72 hours before this all occurs paper signs will be posted on entrances (and usually at the mail box room of condos) to let them know when the water cut off will occur.
