Stoneyford Area: 100 year old Water Pipe Replacement & Street Repaving (2017-2026)

This area of Tuscany-Canterbury was developed in the 1920’s.  The water pipes on Stoneyford and Linkwood Road Area kept breaking and causing the neighbors living on Linkwood, Stoneyford, and Stony Run Lane were without water frequently and neighbors a few blocks away had very low water pressure.  Department of Public Works (DPWP would usually respond quickly and temporary fixes were made that lasted a few months or a year.  

In 2025 the water pipe on the 200 block of Tuscany Road broke several times and caused over $500,000 damage to the condo owners at the Gardens of Guilford.

Councilperson Odette Ramos convinced the City that this needed to be a priority.  Engineering studies had to be done.  Bids had to be requested.  The City Board of Estimates had to approve the project.  By 2025 everything for work to start.  October 2025, TCNA had a zoom meeting with Civic Construction(CC) and DPW about the plans and time frame would take six months to a year to complete all the work.
