Special Events

2025 JHU Winter Ice Skating:  January 10- February 23

All attendees are required to:

• Sign up in advance for a 90-minute skating session
• Complete the electronic waiver prior to arrival at the rink

Online registration information should include anyone who enters the Ice Rink premises, regardless of their age or participation in skating. Anyone age 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 3 are not permitted to skate.

• Sundays: 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Weekdays
JHU affiliates only

• Monday–Thursday: Noon–7:30 p.m.

Accessibility

We support the participation of individuals with disabilities. Wheelchairs are permitted on the rink. Individuals who use a wheelchair can enter the rink accompanied by either a skater or personal care assistant (PCA) wearing personal or rental skates or shoe grips. Shoe grips are available if needed. PCAs must be registered along with all other guests. Waivers must be completed by all skaters.

December 5: 20TH ANNUAL LIGHTING OF THE QUADS

Festivities will begin on the Wyman Quad at 6PM with a short fireworks display around 7:30P, lasting about 6 minutes. Gather on Wyman Quad at the Homewood campus Thursday for the 20th annual Lighting of the Quads. Celebrate the end of the semester and the arrival of the holiday season with hot cocoa and baked treats as the campus transforms into a winter wonderland. The gathering will also feature craft stations, games, a fireworks show, fire dancers, and musical performances. All are welcome.

JHU SPECIAL EVENTS         

JHU is hosting the Premier Lacrosse League on Homewood Field  This is the first-ever Homecoming Weekend for the Maryland Whipsnakes and games will be nationally televised.Homewood Field: Premiers Lacrosse League Games

2025 JHU Spring Fair

Spring Fair has always been a celebration of the season. Campus green spaces will be filled with designated areas for inflatables, lawn games, food, arts and fun activities!
