General Trash Pick-up: Every Tuesday starting at 7am

Recycling Pick-up: Every Thursday starting at 7am. CLICK HERE to see what can and cannot be recycled in Baltimore City

  • If your trash is not picked up by the end of the day, call 311 and let them know and you will usually be told what to do.  (Sometimes  / frequently it will be a make-up time on Saturday)
  • If your collection day falls on a holiday, please hold your recycling items until the make-up collection day which will be the following Saturday.

Neighborhood Dumpster: TCNA arranges for a Baltimore City neighborhood dumpster 4 days a year.  See TCNA Calendar for dates and locations within Tuscany-Canterbury

Northwest Sanitation Yard, 2840 Sisson Street.  Accepts a pretty broad range of materials and is conveniently located between the 28th street and 29th street

 Quarantine Road Sanitary Land Fill, 6100 Quarantine Road (on the very south end of town). This site is WAY inconvenient but is the place that will take anything.  (And, the only place that will take building debris, wallboard, cinder blocks, etc.)

Hazardous Materials

Residents may drop off household hazardous material at the Northwest Citizens’ Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street, from 9:00 to 5:00 usually on the first Friday and Saturday of each month  from April to October. Check TCNA calendar for specific dates.  This is an opportunity for Baltimore City residents to drop off items such as oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, car and household batteries, drain.
