Water Main Replacements Stoneyford Road and Linkwood Road Work begins on October 20, 2025 for several weeks
When? Work will start on Monday, October 20 at 8AM.
Where? Replacement of 1000 ft of water pipe on Stoneyford Road between Tuscany and Linkwood Road plus the section between University Parkway and Stoneyford.
Work will start with the excavation of three sample test sites: one at the corner of Linkwood and Stoneyford; the next one at the junction of Stoneyford and Stony Run Lane; and the third one at the corner of Tuscany and Stoneyford. Will parking be prohibited? During the time that work is being done, parking will not be allowed. Signs will be posted 72 hours prior to work. CARS MUST BE MOVED BY 8AM or they will be towed by the Baltimore City Towing Division and subject to a fine. Cars will be allowed to park after the work ends each night.
How long will it take to complete the project? Approximately two weeks barring any unforeseen impediments.
Will water be cut off? After the new pipes are in place, the water will be temporarily disconnected between 8AM and 5PM. It is expected to take one day. Residents will be notified in advance before this happens.
Will traffic be redirected? Signs and workers will redirect traffic when needed.
Will access to the Gardens of Guilford (GoG) be affected? Access to the GoG may be delayed during the day.
